Beidh oíche eolais do thuismitheoirí / chaomhnóirí le leanaí i rang 5 agus 6 ar siúl sa scoil ar an gCeadaoin 15ú Deireadh Fómhair , ag tosú ag 7.30 in Fáilte roimh chách .
Táimid lonnaithe faoi láthair i seomraí in aice le Coláiste Pobail Ard Giolláin , i.n. aice le Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín.
An information evening for parents / guardians with children in 5th and 6th class will be held in the school on Wednesday 15th of October, commencing at 7.30pm
All welcome.
We are currently located in rooms beside Ardgillan Community College, adjacent to Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín

Rinne na daltaí dioscadh croí ainmhí sa rang Eolaíochta ar an Déardaoin. Bhain siad an-sult as , mar is léir ó na dreachanna aghaidhe sna griangrafanna ! Bhí Múinteoir Blaithín agus Carly i gceannas ar.
The students witnessed the dissection of a heart in the Science class on Wednesday , as demonstrated by Múinteoir Carly , and kindly assisted by Múinteoir Bláithín ! The students used their Microsoft tablets to record the process, portraying the diverse and effective ways IT can be used in the classroom. They clearly enjoyed this lesson, as evident from their expressions in the photos !

Tá ranganna ceoil ar súil ag an Múinteoir Sorcha i rith am loin ón Luain go dtí an Céadaoin , soar in aisce !
Múinteoir Sorcha is providing music classes for students during lunch time , from Monday to Wednesday , free of charge. Instruments covered are flute, guitar , violin and piano. This is a great opportunity for all students, from complete beginners to the more accomplished musicians who wish to further develop their skills. Parents can get in touch with the school if they require any further information .

Bhain na daltaí an-sult as an céad tuaras scoile , nuair a thug muid chuairt ar an Zú ar an Déardaoin (18/09). D’eagraigh na múinteoirí eolaíochta Carley agus Bláithín an turas seo a bhí bainte leis an topaic Nithe Beo, atá á staidéar acu faoi láthair.
Ar dtús, bhris na daltaí suas ina ngrúpaí agus shúil said timpeallna háite leo féin ag freagair ceisteanna ar bileog oibre. Fuaireamar turas treoraithe ansin, inar d’fhoghlaim daltaí faoi speicis i mbaol agus fírící suimiúla eile. Bhí an treoraí an-tógtha leis na daltaí mar gheall ar na ceisteanna agus eolais cliste a bhí acu di! Maith sibh gach duine ag léiriú sár-sampla den scoil ! Beirigí bua !
The Students recently went on a field trip to Dublin Zoo, studying endangered species as part of their Science class!

D’oscail Coláiste Ghlór na Mara ar an gcéad lá Meán Fómhair le 26 dalta agus ó shin tá cúrsaí ag dul i bhfeabhas ó la go lae.
Tá na daltaí ag úsáid táibléid le haghaidh a gcuid obair scoile agus leis na Microsoft Surface seo tá foghlaim den céad scoth ar siúil!
Anuas ar sin bhí an chéad cluiche peile ag an gcoláiste Dé hAoine an 12 Meán fómhair agus d’éigh leo an lámh in uachtar a fháil ar fhoireann cumasach ó Fingal Community College 4-17 go 1-7. ‘Sí múinteoir Carly Nic Cuarta a chuir an fhoireann amach ar an bpáirc tar éis taicticí a phlé agus idir cailíní agus buachaillí rinne siad tréan iarracht chun an bua seo a aimsiú!
Coláiste Ghlór na Mara opened on 1st September with 26 students, they are already growing comfortable & familiar with life at Post-Primary level with every passing day.
One of the new facets of the learning environment is getting to grips with their e-books on the new Surface Tablets, all enjoying the experience so far!
Another significant day was marked today, in that CGnaM held their 1st ever GAA match, versus Fingal Community College. A fantastic footballing performance by the boys & girls resulted in our students winning with a score of 4-17 to 1-7, many thanks to Múinteoir Carly Nic Cuarta for preparing the team!

Learning Materials The school will be using a virtual learning environment for the students and a blended learning approach. The school will provide tablet computers for the students to use in school and learning material will be provided online. The survey completed at the last meeting confirmed that students have access to a computer of some form and internet at home. The VLE will be accessible to any common operating system. To cover these costs a charge of €150 will be levied this year and for the following two years meaning a total payment of €450 over the three years. |
